GLAZED PECAN HALVES

l/2 c buttermilk

l c sugar

l/2 t soda

l/4 t salt

1-qt pecan halves

Boil first 4 ingredients and pour over pecans.  Coat all pecans.  Place

in pan and put in over about 400 degrees.  Stir often.  When brown and

tacky, spread very thin on wax paper and let dry.
