RAISIN CAKE - Norma's FROSTED CREAMS

 

2 CUPS WATER

1 CUP RAISINS

 

BOIL-COOL-SQUEEZE RAISINS .  Must have 1 cup of juice.

 

11/2 CUPS SUGAR

1 CUP BUTTER

2 EGGS

21/2 CUPS FLOUR

1 tsp. SODA

1/2 tsp. SALT

1 tsp. CINNAMON

NUTS

 

Mix all above together and bake in a cookie sheet with a 1" lip.  Cook 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.  Frost with thin powdered sugar glaze while warm.

 

Glaze:  1 cup powdered sugar and water or flavoring to make thin enough to spread.
