Pumpkin Bread

 

3 cups of sugar

1 cup of oil

½ cup of water

2 cups of pumpkin

4 eggs

 

Mix sugar and oil.  Add eggs, beat well and add pumpkin.

Add water and mix well.

 

3 and ½ cups of flour

¼ to1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons of baking soda

1 teaspoon nutmeg

2 teaspoons of cinnamon

½ cup of raisins

½ cup of nuts

½ cup of dates

 

Sift together flour, soda, and cinnamon.  Add the pumpkin mixture.  Stir in the raisins, dates, and nuts. (Role the raisin and dates in flour mixture and they will not stick together.)  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes.

 

Bake in greased and floured loaf pans.  To be different, bake in greased and floured coffee cans.
