1 c water 2 eggs – beaten
2 sticks margarine 1 t vanilla
4 T cocoa 1 t baking soda
2 c flour ½ c buttermilk
2 c sugar
Combine water, margarine, and cocoa in pan and bring to a boil. In a big mixing bowl, pour this mixture while still hot, over flour, sugar, eggs, vanilla, soda, and buttermilk, which have been mixed in the bowl. Beat well and bake at 375 degrees only 20 minutes. Use 17x11x3/4 inches. Use pan in which cocoa mixture was boiled and put icing mixture in.
ICING
1 stick margarine 1 t vanilla
4 T cocoa 1 box powdered sugar
6 T milk ½ to 1 c nuts
Bring to boil, add nuts, and powdered sugar. Beat and ice cake at once.
