BLACKBERRY COBBLER 

Combine 1 ½ pint blackberries, 1 ½ pint water, and ½ cup sugar. 

Cook almost to a boil for a few minutes.  Pour into a 9x12 inch baking dish.

 

Topping

 

In a mixing bowl, combine:

 

1 cup sifted flour                                 ¼ to ½ tsp salt

1 cup sugar                                           1 large egg

1 tsp baking powder

 

Mix these ingredients with a knife and tablespoon to a texture of pie crust.  Sprinkle over berries.

 

Pour ¼ cup melted butter over topping.

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Bake 30 to 45 minutes until done.
